Precut and Sanded Guitar Bodies for your special rebuild or restoration project

Find the exact guitar body you need in the wood of your choice from a quality supplier on-Line.

Now you can start that custom build project for the electric guitar of your dreams or the repair or
restoration task that you have been putting off. Most of the pre-cut guitar bodies have been routed for the
electric guitar pickups that match the body and the electronics packages for that particular model.
Most of the guitar bodies that you find will be of the solid body style. The hollow body guitar
repair or restoration project is going to require special tools and fixtures to complete. I have every
intention to create a special page dedicated just to hollow body electric guitars.
There are several sites that have the instructions that you need to compete the guitar body in the design
that you want. It has been recommended that all parts to be installed in the body, be pre-fit and then
put aside while the finishing is done to the body and neck.
The finishing itself can be quite a task if you are not completely prepared. There are some real
good sites that will guide you completely thru the finishing or re-finishing process. If the body and the
neck are of differing wood type, it might be a good idea to finish them separately and then join them after the
finishing process.
Finally, after the finishing is complete, you can install all the accessories that are part of the
body. Like the pick-ups, the bridge and tailpiece, the electronics, the pick-guard, strap holder buttons, the
neck truss rod adjusting nut cover. It would probably be best if the body and neck were covered in some
protective covering that could be peeled off after the assembly was complete.
The final finish of your guitar body project will be the crowning glory of your pride and joy. So, make it
the best you can do. Take your time and get it right. If something doesn't work out right, now is
the time to correct it. Even if it is something that only you would know about, you won't be totally
satisfied if you know that something is not right. Sometimes the finish requires several special steps to
complete such as sanding between coats, heat or UV treating the finish for curing. Just be sure to study up
on the process you are trying to use. There are many good sites that will show you every thing that you need
to do to get a perfect finish.
I would like to start a refinish or rebuild project from the beginning to the end and put it on a web site with
videos, pictures and everything that would be needed to help someone though the process sucessfully.
